How to wrap and delegate FLR (and SGB)

Short answer: wrap your FLR into WFLR, then delegate its voting power to one or two FTSO data providers. Your coins never leave your wallet and are never locked. Rewards build up every reward epoch (about 3.5 days) and you claim them yourself. Songbird (SGB) works the same way.

What wrapping and delegating mean

Wrapping turns FLR into WFLR, one for one. WFLR is the same value in a form the Flare contracts can count. You can unwrap back to FLR at any time.
Delegating lends the voting power of your WFLR to data providers, the teams that feed prices into Flare's oracle (the FTSO). Good providers earn rewards and share them with the people who delegate to them.
Nothing moves. Delegation never sends your coins anywhere. You can send, sell or unwrap whenever you like; the delegation for that amount simply ends.

Do this

Open My Rewards, paste your Flare address (or press Connect wallet) and press Check my rewards.
Open the Wrap tab. Wrap most of your FLR, but keep a little unwrapped (1 FLR or more) to pay network fees.
Open the Delegation tab and press Change delegation.
Pick one or two providers. Suggest providers picks two with steady recent rates that are under the vote-power cap, and says why.
If you pick two, set the split with the slider, press Review, read the warnings, then confirm in your wallet.
Your first rewards count from the next reward epoch, so expect something to claim within about a week. See How to claim your FLR delegation rewards.

Watch out

Never send coins to anyone to "stake for you". Delegation on Flare never needs that. It is a common scam.
Rates are history, not promises. Recent rates have been around 1–2% a year. A provider's fee can change, and its accuracy varies from epoch to epoch.
The vote-power cap. A provider holding more than 2.5% of all delegated vote power has its delegators' rewards diluted. Our list marks providers over the cap.
